Volunteering at The Royal Alexandra Hospital For Children, Brighton

So happy and excited! In January 2014 I start working as a volunteer therapist on the High Dependency Unit of the Royal Alexandra’s Children’s Hospital, providing Reiki to children, parents and staff on the ward. Working therapeutically in hospitals has been one of my long-term goals, so I am overwhelmed at the chance to be able to take part in this great project. The volunteers are coordinated by a great organisation called Active Lightworks. They interview and vet all therapists in addition to the checks and training provided by the hospital itself.
